I don't believe in 'body flaws.' To believe in them, you have to believe in one single ideal body, and I emphatically do not! I know what I am supposed to look like -- I'm supposed to look like me. And since no one can look more like me than me, I'm as close to perfect as it gets. I don't need to look like anyone else OR any other version of myself. I don't have flaws -- and neither do you. What we have are differences, and they are what make us beautiful, what make us unique, what make us who we are.
If you have a livejournal and are a curvy woman, join curvygirls. We're an amazing body-positive group.

Any traditional artist (painting, drawing, sculpture) may use my photos as reference, as long as you ask me and get my permission (which I will give 99% of the time), and link to me when you post the completed work. Digital artists must tell me the theme of what they wish to do with it, and I'm less likely to give permission, but it is still a possibility.
I will NEVER give permission for you to manipulate one of my photos to make me seem thinner or closer to the false ideal. This is your only warning: if you upload a manipulation of that sort, I will report you immediately for copyright infringement. Airbrushing to change people's shape is absolutely immoral, and goes against everything I stand for. And if you are one of my watchers and you see that someone has done that to one of my photos, please let me know, ASAP.

I ask that you respect me as an artist and respect my art as just that -- art. Artistic critique is always welcome, as long as it given in the spirit of personal opinion. All art is an expression of self and therefore is inherently self-centered -- the only standard appropriate is the standard in the artist's mind. Other-centered creation is called 'advertising' not 'art.' Art has to please the creator of itself; advertising has to please everyone else.

It's never too late to be who you want to be.
The way you pose in your pictures and the look on your face shows that you're really confident about yourself, don't listen too much to who society wants you to be.
Just LOVE yourself. That's more important than anything.
I really really love it.
